Ballantynes Property Group has a particular emphasis on providing residential estate agency and property management solutions to private clients and the development community.

In addition the firm provides Property & Estate Management Services, Planning & Development Advice, Sales, Purchases and Valuations of Commercial, Industrial and Rural Property, Property Lettings as well as Environmental and Waste Management Consultancy.

From our two offices, one in Edinburgh’s West End and the other in Perth City Centre, we aim to provide a dynamic approach to all our clients property requirements, providing a friendly and professional service.

Rory Ballantyne qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2006 and is a Graduate of Northumbria University, Newcastle. Rory has over 10 years experience in the Scottish residential market place – spending much of that time with working with a leading global real estate adviser in their Land and Development Team as well as working with one of Scotland’s leading housebuilders. Rory enjoys spending time with his family and a number of outdoor activities including Shooting, Fishing and playing rugby for Broughton Rugby Club in Edinburgh.

Ben Ballantyne has 40 years experience as a Chartered Surveyor. A student at the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester too long ago to remember, he joined a UK wide firm of chartered surveyors where he became a partner in their Edinburgh office. He left in 1995 to establish Ballantynes Perth office. From this office in Perth he has developed a UK wide general practice surveyors business working throughout the UK for a wide range of private clients and public bodies. In addition for 8 years he was a Director of a leading privately owned UK Waste Management Company. When not in the office, he can probably be found on the banks of a salmon river or a trout loch trying, sometimes with little success, to catch a fish!
 

Gordon Mckenzie

Director of New Homes
Gordon McKenzie has over 20 years experience in New Homes Sales and Marketing having worked both for developers and agents. He is tasked with promoting new build developments, gaining new build instructions, providing valuable client advise, market research and pricing for new build developments. Gordon has worked throughout Scotland on significant large scale residential and mixed use projects as both advisor and client. Gordon has been involved with many significant projects that have been consulted on and built in Scotland. In his spare time Gordon enjoys spending time with his daughters and fiancée and keeping fit in the gym, walking and mountain biking.
Carole Cameron

Carole Cameron

Senior Office Administrator & Estate Agency Assistant – Perth Office
Carole joined the Perth Office in October 2011 where she is responsible for the Company’s Accounting and Book-keeping. She also assists with property and general enquiries and is closely involved with all property sales carried out from the Perth Office. Carole has always lived and worked in and around Perth. In her spare time Carole enjoys walking in the Perthshire countryside, spending time with friends and family and camping.
 

Sophie Chisholm

Ballantynes are delighted to welcome their newest recruit. Sophie joined the Edinburgh office in June, 2015, as receptionist, having just completed a degree in Festival and Events Management at Napier University in Edinburgh. In her spare time she enjoys baking, going to the gym and socialising with friends and family.

Maureen joins us following the acquisition of Ream recently. Maureen has over 20 years experience in the field of property lettings and she is responsible for obtaining new business and overseeing the smooth transition between the two companies. In her spare time Maureen enjoys cycling, going for long walks and spending time with friends and family.

Accounts & Office Manager Edinburgh Office
Tracy worked in retail for over 15 years before starting work at Ream, she does the accounts and is responsible for ensuring rents are received on time and for paying landlords and contractors and all other HMRC requirements. In her spare time Tracy enjoys spending time with friends and family and looking after her brood of pets. She also enjoys reading a good book.
Kelly Gibson

Kelly has over 14 years experience working in the property sector from interiors to trade supplies and property management. She is responsible for the day to day running of client’s properties, providing valuable client advice and making sure both landlord and tenant are satisfied. Her background working for large retail companies and running her own business in the past has provided Kelly with the customer focus the property industry requires. When not working Kelly loves to socialise with friends and family or relax in the coolness of a swimming pool.

 

Kayleigh Harper

Over the past 5 years Kayleigh has built up substantial experience in property management with two well renowned letting agents in Edinburgh. This extensive experience gives Kayleigh the depth of knowledge and perspective required to advise our clients on all aspects of managing their asset(s). In her spare time she likes running, going to her local CrossFit gym and going out for dinner with her friends.
Sue Ross

Sue Ross

Property Coordinator Edinburgh Office
Sue worked in recruitment at a senior level for several years before coming to work alongside Maureen, which she has done for 12 years, assisting her in the early days of Ream. Sue, along with Lyndsey, deals with all our property maintenance issues and ensures all compliance checks are in place. She also carries out regular property inspections. In her spare time Sue enjoys socialising with friends, cooking and going to the gym.

 

Lyndsey Gdulewicz

Lyndsey has 19 years working within the property sector in Edinburgh with experience in residential conveyancing and estate agency. She is responsible for ensuring that all of our rental properties are compliant and keeping up-to-date with ever changing legislation. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband, travelling and reading.
