Aberdona and Meeks Park Woods are two separate blocks of attractive maturing woodlands which are located approximately 1 mile to the north of the small Clackmannanshire village of Forestmill. The popular and attractive town of Dollar is only 2 miles to the north. The area is highly accessible and the woods are close to a number of important timber markets; both the M9 and M90 motorways are within a 15 minute drive.

Lot 1 - Aberdona Wood 32.1 acres (13.0 ha)

This compact rectangular area of woodland was planted in 1960 with approximately 7.5 hectares of Scots Pine; 2 hectares of European Larch; 1 hectare of Western Hemlock, the remainder being 1.5 hectares of Birch and approximately 0.5 hectares of bare ground. Although believed to be accurate, neither the sellers nor Ballantynes can guarantee this accuracy. There is an overhead low voltage electric power line traversing the woodland as well as a national transmission pylon line running along the north boundary.

Subject to an appropriate felling licence, it may be possible to generate Tax Free income from the crop of Larch and Western Hemlock which will assist in thinning the overall timber crop and create an attractive woodland mostly stocked with Scots Pine.
