Maintenance Co-Ordinator – Full Time


An exciting opportunity has arisen within our company for a role as Maintenance Co-Ordinator. We are looking for an enthusiastic person to take on this role based in our Edinburgh office.


You will ensure any general day to day maintenance issues reported by tenants are dealt with in the guidelines set out by the Repairing and Tolerable Standards. You will also assist the Maintenance Manager with ensuring the compliance certificates are kept up to date, carry out inspections as set out in the Letting Agent Code of Practice guidelines, build relations with tenants and landlords, always portray a professional and positive image of the company. You will also assist the Property Managers with inventories, lease preparation and any other ad-hoc duties as required.


Applicants should be proficient at multi-tasking and have excellent organisation skills.


Responsibilities and Duties – varied but will include: -


·        Assisting when required with arranging compliance certifications ensuring properties are always up to date

·        Dealing with day-to-day maintenance issues 

·        Obtaining quotes from contractors

·        Keeping tenants/landlords fully informed

·        Sourcing new contractors for our continually growing portfolio

·        Carrying out regular property inspections

·        Keeping up to date with current compliance legislations and advising landlords accordingly

·        Instructing work orders to contractors

·        Assisting Property Managers with their day-to-day duties


Requirements you will need: -


·        Experience in dealing with property maintenance, preferable but not essential

·        Knowledge of current legislations, preferable but not essential

·        Excellent administration and organisation skills

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·        High level of attention to detail

·        Able to prioritise under pressure

·        Excellent customer service skills

·        Pro -active ‘can do’ approach

·        Experience of using a property management software programme i.e., SME, preferable but not essential

·        Can work as part of a team

·        Full UK Driving Licence essential

·        Professional and presentable

·        Must have Foundation Lettings Course Scotland qualification (safeagent) or other industry equivalent, or working towards one


Other Information: -


The position is full time, Monday- Friday 9am – 5pm


Salary – Dependant on experience


There is an initial six-month probationary period
