Property Details

Hebridean Gardens, Strathearn View, Crieff

The site extends to approximately 3.83 hectares (9.46 acres).
The site forms part of a larger site already developed and a number of cabins forming a site compound remain on site. The cabins will form part of the sale and will remain on the site on completion.

The site is located on the southern edge of Crieff in Perthshire. Crieff has an attractive and bustling town centre that supports a wide range of family-run businesses offering the best of food and drink, clothing, gifts, crafts and arts. Over the past years Crieff has built a reputation for fine food with an amazing choice of cafés, coffee shops, restaurants for fine or casual dining.

A popular destination for tourists, Crieff’s attractions include the Caithness Glass Visitor Centre and The Famous Grouse Experience at Glenturret Distillery. Innerpeffray Library (established c. 1680), Scotland’s oldest lending library, is also nearby.

Crieff is the capital of Strathearn and has royal connections throughout history and with the current day. William and Catherine, Earl and Countess of Strathearn have visited the town and have sported the now famous Strathearn Tartan.

The site forms part of an overall planning consent and the remaining land benefits from detailed planning consent for 88 units under the planning reference 06/02451/FUL for the ‘Erection of 115 dwellinghouses (inclusive of 29 housing association units), formation of access road, footpaths and associated works (this was later amended to 117 units see enclosed consents). The affordable housing element of the original consent has been built and therefore the consent was implemented and this is an extant consent for the delivery of 88 private units.

The remaining 4 units were granted consent under planning reference 15/01144/FLL for the ‘Erection of 4 No dwellinghouses’. This consent was not implemented and as such will have lapsed, however, the previous consent may still be extant.

There are no outstanding Section 75 obligations or affordable housing requirements for the site. Further planning information can be obtained from Perth & Kinross Planning Department at:
