Proactive with Property in an Online World

Social Distancing is the current norm and Ballantyne’s are adhering to all government and NHS advice. We have suspended face-to-face meetings (including viewings and valuations) however, we have introduced measures to help at this time and continue offering virtual access to our properties and virtual valuations wherever available.

 

360 Virtual Tours:

Ballantynes have introduced high-definition virtual tours for many of our properties allowing interested parties to click on a link and take a tour around the property. Here is an example:

Pre-Recorded Viewings:

Either our agent or the owner can record a video tour showing all rooms, corners, cupboards etc. For owners carrying these out, always keep in mind what the viewers would want to see e.g.

  • Where is the heating system stored?
  • What sort of storage does the property have?
  • What the street/area looks like?

 

So, go around the property in detail opening up all doors and take a good scan of the area’s directly outside the property.

This video is then stored to our files and we can share with interested parties.

 

Live Virtual Viewings*:

Our agents can host virtual viewings for multiple parties at one time. This involves our agent being on site, starting a video chat (which interested parties will be advised of prior to the event) and then giving a tour of the property, being able to answer any questions in real-time.

 

Virtual Viewings can be pre-booked in advance, just as you would do for a standard viewing. You would then be sent a link and asked to join at the agreed time.

 

Virtual Valuations*:

Similar to the Live Virtual Viewings, owners can book-in a Virtual Valuation date/time that suits. A link would then be sent which can be accessed on laptops or smartphones and then the owner would tour our agent around the property whilst being able to discuss any queries either the owner or our agent may have.

 

We can also give the owner real-time thoughts on value and presentation etc. in the same way that we would during a standard valuation visit.

 

*Laptop/smartphone would need to be equipped with the necessary video capability application. For this, we are recommending Teleport.Video which you can download HERE.

 

Desktop Valuations:

These are fairly standard in the market. An owner would either email details or book a call time to discuss their property with one of our agents. We would require:

  • Full address
  • Number of Bedrooms / Public Rooms / Bathrooms
  • Any outdoor space and/or parking facilities
  • An idea of current condition
  • Any completed extensions, upgrading or any planning in place

Our agent would then be able to send you a comprehensive review of the property detailing thoughts on value, market conditions for your property and detailed information as to what Ballantynes offer complete with a breakdown of all costs involved.
